A pass-rushing dynamo.
One narrative that emerged from the 2020 college football season, even if it wasn’t fully realized, is that the Colorado State Rams defense appeared to turn a corner thanks to a fierce defensive front spearheaded by a pair of athletes who made the cut on this year’s list of the Mountain West’s best: Manny Jones and our next entrant.
Scott Patchan, a transfer from Miami, started all four games that CSU played last fall and made his presence felt every single week, finishing fourth in the conference with 5.5 sacks (including at least one in each game) and tied for tenth with 7.5 tackles for loss. That made him an easy choice as a first-team all-Mountain West selection
Having decided to return to Fort Collins as a super senior, Patchan will be on the leading edge of a pass rush that looks to prove its 2020 performance was no fluke.
