Josh Allen will get to showcase his skills in front of NFL scouts

In one of the worst kept secrets Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has accepted an invite to the 2018 Senior Bowl, the announcement became of official Wednesday morning.

Allen has been revered as one of the best talents in the NFL Draft this year and is in the running to be a high first-round pick.

He will be joined by Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield out of Oklahoma and the other six quarterbacks are Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph, Washington State’s Luke Falk, Virginia’s Kurt Benkert, Western Kentucky’s Mike White, Richmond’s Kyle Lauletta and Troy’s Brandon Silvers.

The Senior Bowl teams will be coached by the staffs of the Denver Broncos (North Squad) and Houston Texans (South Squad). The Broncos coaching staff is of note because Broncos general manager John Elway reportedly really likes Allen and Denver holds the fifth pick overall and they are in desperate need of a quarterback.

The game itself is secondary as there will be about a 100 or so of NFL personal on hand to evaluate all of this talent, and if anyone watches these practices expect a lot of talk comparing Allen to Caron Wentz since Wyoming’s Craig Bohl coached both of those talents.

The game will air on the NFL Network and kick on Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
