It’s go time
College football is back and fingers crossed there will be no cancelation of games due to COVID-19, remember that forfeits are an option this year.
The 2021 season is going to look a whole lot like pre-2020, in most cases. Week 0 kicks things off this year with a trio of games including a pretty big matchup with Hawaii going to the Rose Bowl.
This will be your watch guide to figure out how to watch games, an arbitrary order, and also one game to watch if that is all the time you have.
UConn at Fresno State
WHEN: 2 p.m. ET/11 p.m. PTTV: CBS Sports Network

ODDS: Bulldogs -27.5.
The Huskies have not played a football game since 2020 and sat out the covid season and was named national champs by the New York Times, so that is an interesting fact.
This game should not be all that competitive as the Bulldogs have an elite offense led by QB Jake Haener and RB Ronnie Rivers. That duo should go through this Huskies defense, despite there being questions regarding the Bulldogs offensive line issues from a year ago.
Hawaii at UCLA
WHEN: 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT
TV: ESPN
STREAM: FuboTV – Get a 7-day free trial
ODDS: Bruins -18
This game has trap written all over it. The Bruins host LSU next week and are a huge home favorite against a Warriors team that has some unique and good returning talent.
Just like UCLA, Hawaii has a well above average offense with the Bruins getting another year from quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson leading the way. Head coach Chip Kelly’s offenses haven’t been Oregon-esque since returning to college but just maybe has turned the corner.
One thing to remember about Hawaii is the defense is good and can scheme with the best behind defensive coordinator Victor Santa Cruz who had the perfect game plan to upset Nevada last season.
Southern Utah at San Jose State
WHEN: 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT
TV: CBS Sports Network
STREAM: FuboTV – Get a 7-day free trial
ODDS: Bruins -18
The Spartans are defending Mountain West champs and get a tune-up game against Southern Utah who went 1-5 in an abbreviated spring season at the FCS level. The goals in this game are to find out who the key wide receivers are outside of Isiah Hamilton and see if the running game can be consistent with Tyler Nevens running the ball.
The Game To Watch?
With there being just three games and them being spread out to watch them all we recommend watching them all. However, the game of the week if you only have the chance to watch one is Hawaii at UCLA.
The Bruins have not had a winning record under Chip Kelly while in Westwood but the offense clicked last year and put up 35.4 points per game which ranked 20th nationally. Yet, the defense held them back by giving up 30.7 points per game.
Expect a shootout in this matchup and make Hawai at UCLA the highest priority this week.
