Penny is leading the All-Star game after two big plays.
The Senior Bowl game is a reward for a week’s worth of practices and the game is usually just for kicks and giggles. However, there are still great moment and San Diego State running back Rashaad Penny has had arguably the best first half from either team.
He first had a huge 34-yard run which set up a touchdown for the South, and has 43 yards so far.

The biggest play came during one of the sideline interviews and Penny caught a nice pass out of the backfield not a screen pass but more of an over-the-shoulder pass that was on the money from Virginia’s Kurt Benkert.
Penny took the ball and showed off his agility and made a few defenders miss en route to a 73-yard touchdown.

In one half of play, Penny has touched the ball five times for 116 yards which is a nice and tidy 19.66 yards per play.
