Can the Aggies pull the upset?
Utah State has a pretty big matchup as they face Texas Tech out of the Big 12 in Friday afternoon’s NCAA Tournament game. While the Red Raiders are favored they are not considered a sure thing to win this game.
Texas Tech comes from the Big 12 which is one of the better conferences in college hoops this year but one thing they don’t see is a talented big man like Neemias Queta, who is an honorable mention All-American.
The size difference in Queta and whoever Texas Tech throws his way will be at a mismatch, and a huge key for the Aggies to get the win is to feed Queta the ball and allow him to go off and score over 20 points, which is possible.
However, the two times Queta had huge games were against Boise State where he scored over 30 each game but ultimately lost. He and the Aggies need another player or two to step up and make a difference on Friday.

No matter if the shots are falling, or not for Utah State needs to watch out for Mac McClung, he’ll continue taking them, but he possesses an innate ability to draw contact & get to the free-throw line, stay in front of him, force him to take tough pull-up jumpers.
If you let McClung get inside, odds are he’s drawing contact and heading to the free-throw line. Tough jumpers are how you stop the talented scorer for the Red Raiders, force those difficult shots.
