Cleans up his twitter account, for a moment.

Utah State’s 2020 football season has not gone as planned on any front. The Aggies are 0-4 after its most recent loss to Fresno State and last week they fired head coach Gary Andersen.

The latest issue with Utah State could be at its quarterback position. Starting quarterback Jason Shelley has cleared all of his social media of anything Utah State related, but Shelley put back on mentions and a photo of him being an Aggie.

Aggies interim head coach Frank Maile made an announcement on Sunday saying that Shelley is no longer on the team due to a violation of team rules. That would be the only comment Maile would be making.

Shelley transferred in from Utah to compete with the starting job with Henry Colombi but when he transferred to Texas Tech it was basically assumed that  Shelley would be the starting quarterback.

Shelley as the Aggies starting quarterback has not gone well at all. It took him until his fourth game to crack 100 passing yards in a game. For the season he is averaging 105 yards per game with two touchdown passes and two interceptions.

Clearly, he has not played all this year and things were getting frustrated for Shelley. Now, Utah State is moving forward with a new quarterback in either Andrew Peasley or Cooper Legas.
