Hawaii has lost four in a row and is on the berge of losing out on making a bowl game if they do not win this week. The Warriors take on San Diego State the week after and that makes the game vs. UNLV very important.
The Warriors need to find out what they were doing in the first half of the year where the run-n-shoot was very efficient and Cole McDonald was slinging the ball and scoring touchdowns. The running game has been part of the issue which has hurt the offense as three of the past four games were under 100 total yards. Having a balanced offense is what the Warriors need.
UNLV is likely starting Max Gilliam over Armani Rogers who has been out for weeks with a foot injury. Gilliam has improved over that time and last week they upse San Diego State to get some confidence back. While Giliam has played better it has been the running game of Lexington Thomas and Charles who have both run the ball better over the past few weeks.
