Why UNLV Will Win

The Runnin’ Rebels will play their second straight game on the road, and if they are going to secure the win, they will need big performaces from their front court duo of Shakur Juiston and Brandon McCoy.  McCoy had a relatively quiet game by his standards against Colorado State, so he will need to bounce back with a huge performance as the Rebels main advantage against the Bulldogs is in the front court.  If the 7 foot center and the aggressive Juiston are effective in the paint UNLV and dominate on the boards, the Runnin’ Rebels should be able to secure a hard fought road win.

Why Fresno State Will Win

The Bulldogs lead the Mountain West in 3-point field goal percentage, which could spell trouble for the visiting Rebels, as they have struggled defending the perimeter since conference play started.  If Fresno State is shooting well from deep, the perimeter shooting challenged Rebels will have a hard time keeping pace, and that could lead to a relatively easy victory for the home team.
