The Wyoming Cowboys host a San Jose State Spartans team which looked good in its win over UNLV last week, and despite being a double-digit underdog there is a chance that the Spartans could win.
Quarterback Josh Love has been quietly playing better in October and in the upper half of Mountain West signal-callers. However, this Wyoming defense he is going up against one of, if not the best, defense they have seen all year.
The Spartans offense will need to have its best game of the year if they are going to upset the Cowboys. The San Jose State defense is not great but they will have a chance against this Wyoming offense that has been one of the worst in the Mountain West.
The only exception is running back Nico Evans who has rushed for the most yards this year in the league. New quarterback Sean Chambers has shown a spark for this Cowboys offense but mostly on the ground where he has 200 yards in two games, but he is only 10 of 15 through the air in five quarters of play.
If San Jose State will win they need the offense to break through for a few score, and for Wyoming they need the same fate to happen to its offensive unit.
