San Jose State Still Slated To Host Nevada
Wildfires in Northern California have produced very bad air quality.

UPDATE: The Mountain West announced that this game is being moved up two hours to kick at 12 p.m. pacific due to the air quality in the area due to the wildfires.
The Camp Fire in Northern California has caused for the cancelation of a number of sporting events due to safety from the flames and also the air quality, but the Nevada at San Jose State game is still expected to kick off Saturday afternoon.
San Jose State’s athletics department told Mountain West Wire that the game was going on as planned even though the school was closed on Thursday and Friday. The school then sent out a press release on the game status.
“San Jose State University’s final home football game of the season against the University of Nevada remains a November 17, 2:00 p.m. (PT) contest in CEFCU Stadium.”
Nevada is keeping a close eye on the situation as well and told Mountain West Wire via email it is keeping an eye on the situation in San Jose.
“We’ve been monitoring the situation and have been in touch with officials San Jose State and the Mountain West office throughout the week,” associate athletic director Chad Hartley told Mountain West Wire. “The Nevada-San Jose State game is currently on as scheduled in CEFCU Stadium in San Jose on Saturday.
The air quality in the area is expected to be slightly better on Saturday but it will still be in the unhealthy range for sensitive groups. As of Thursday night is very unhealthy and people who are active, exercise or work vigorously outdoors are at increased risk at that level.
