McDaniels to turn pro
San Diego State sophomore forward Jalen McDaniels has declared for the NBA Draft and signed with an agent, per reports.
McDaniels, who wraps his Aztec career after 67 games, is projected to be a late-first or early-second round draft prospect.
The former four-star recruit averaged 15.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game for the 21-win San Diego State squad. He helped guide Brian Dutcher’s team to the NCAA Tournament in 2018, a trip that would end with a round of 64 loss to No. 6 seed Houston.
McDaniels’ younger brother, Jaden, is considering San Diego State. The class of 2019 recruit is one of the top recruits in the nation and is also looking at Washington and Kentucky, among others.
