Why San Diego State Will Win
San Diego State is coming off a terrible loss against Arizona State and to add insult to injury they lost forward Max Montana for a couple of weeks with a hyperextended knee. With that said the Aztecs are the more talented team and should overpower a smaller Cowboys team that does not start anyone taller than 6-8. The Aztecs will look to run and you can expect them to focus a lot more on their defense after what happened in Tempe. Pope will likely be a key player in the game with his height and ability to stretch the floor. Should the Aztecs not be focused on defense then expect this game to be close for a while. I expect Coach Brian Dutcher to have the guys humble and ready for McNeese State.
