San Diego State Schedules Series With New Mexico State
Aztecs add to future OOC slate

Regional foe on the schedule for SDSU
The San Diego State Aztecs announced a home and home on Thursday with the New Mexico State Aggies. The first game of the series has the Aztecs traveling to Las Cruces’ Memorial Stadium on Sept. 14, 2019. Then, the Aztecs will host the Aggies in San Diego on Sept. 2, 2023. Previously, there was a game scheduled for Sept 4, 2021.
In matchups between the two schools, San Diego State has the advantage at 9-1-1 vs the Aggies. The Aztecs have won the last seven meetings.
In 2017, the Aztecs finished the season with a record of 10-3, 6-2 (MWC). The Aggies were 7-6 overall, a win over Utah State in the Arizona Bowl and went 4-4 in conference play in the Sun Belt.

In addition to playing these Aggies in 2019, the Aztecs play at home vs Weber State on Aug. 31 and BYU on Nov 30. They also go on the road to face UCLA from the Pac-12 on Sept. 7.
In 2023, the Aztecs face two Pac-12 opponents, the UCLA Bruins, and Oregon State Beavers. The Aztecs go on the road to Corvallis, Oregon on Sept. 16 and welcome the Bruins to San Diego on the 23rd.
In 2018, it will be New Mexico State’s first year as an FBS independent.
