The CSU defensive lapses cost them again
Colorado State looked like a team that would win its third straight matchup against Colorado in the first half and in the second half, they looked like a team that doesn’t make adjustments.
The Buffs got off to a hot start with Lucas Siewert scoring the first five points of the game. They cooled off and then got hot in the second half to put this game away. The Buffaloes were led by McKinley Wright IV who had 18 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds. Wright made the Buffaloes offense run. When he wasn’t on the floor, the Colorado offense was stagnant.
Wright was joined in double figures by Siewert (16 points and 10 rebounds), Shane Gatling (13 points), and Tyler Bey (23 points and 10 rebounds). Bey always seemed to be in the right place at the right time during the course of this game.
The Rams led by as much as seven, trailed by as much 11, and had a one point lead with 2:30 left in the second half. But their defense let them down. Too many times, the Buffaloes were able to get easy baskets. This was either due to carelessness or not being in the correct position.

The Rams were led by Kris Martin (21 points). Martin has been a driving force for the Rams since coming off suspension. In the three games Martin has played this season, he is averaging 15.7 points per game.
Martin was joined in double figures by J.D. Paige (17 points, six rebounds, and three assists), Anthony Masinton-Bonner (14 points), and Nico Carvacho (15 points and 12 rebounds). Carvacho had a better game after a soft performance against Southern Illinois.
The Rams have a couple of days to prepare for the Arkansas Razorbacks. This is the second game of a home and home between the schools. The Razorbacks are 4-1 on the season and are averaging 78.6 points per game while only giving up 66.2.
