Mitch Harper covers BYU, basically everywhere and he joins the podcast this week to discuss the Cougars football team since they play Boise State, Utah State, and Hawaii this year.
The BYU offensive coaching staff turned over basically everyone, including offensive coordinator Ty Detmer who is being replaced by Jeff Grimes who previously was the offensive line coach at LSU.
The Cougars are coming off of a 4-9 year where they lost to Boise State and Utah State and are hoping to bounce back with a revamped offense.
QB is an issue as there are at least four in the mix, including Tanner Mangum who has the most starting experience. Former Hawaii WR Dylan Collie is expected to make a name for himself right away.
The expectations for BYU is a bowl game and also to go 2-1 against the three Mountain West teams they face in 2018.
