The former Pepperdine forward adds to SJSU’s 2018-19 roster

Former Pepperdine forward Craig LeCesne has committed to San Jose State, a source told Mountain West Wire on Monday.

LeCesne, who spent his freshman season with Pepperdine, appeared in 26 games during the 2016-17 season. He averaged 11.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per 40 minutes with the Waves. At 6-9, 225 pounds, LeCesne will immediately add depth to the San Jose State frontcourt.

Rated as a three-star recruit out of St. James School in Hagerstown, Maryland, LeCesne received offers from Cal State Northridge, UNC Asheville, George Washington, Tulsa, Towson and Charlotte. After his freshman season, LeCesne chose to transfer to San Bernadino Valley College, where he averaged 11.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

A source told Mountain West Wire that LeCesne was also considering Washington State and Oklahoma State as a transfer. He is immediately eligible and has two years of collegiate eligibility remaining.
