The Nevada Wolf Pack are somehow a near double-digit underdog against Vanderbilt. Yes, they are in the SEC and the Commodores have a pretty good defense.

However, they are going to be thin in the secondary with safety Zaire Jones still out with court issues. Even though that defense held Middle Tennessee State in check with a solid QB in Brent Stockstill, this Wolf Pack offense looks to be on another level dating back to last year.

This is a game to prove that Nevada has turned the corner and is an up-and-coming team in the Mountain West. To win, they not only need the offense to put up good numbers but they need to slow down this Vanderbilt offense which did put up 35 points, but their numbers were not overly great in any significant category.
