This is a huge game for Nevada as they host a sneaky good BYU team on Tuesday night to start the college basketball season.

Nevada is stacked with so much talent and comes in at preseason No.7 in the AP Poll and ninth in the USA TODAY coaches poll. That amounts to the highest ranking in school history, as well as the highest preseason ranking in Mountain West history.

One of the most talented and veteran teams in the country, after Jordan Caroline, Caleb Martin, and Cody Martin, all returned after testing the NBA draft waters, among several incoming transfers and a five star recruit in Jordan Brown.

While the Wolf Pack are stacked there is a slight chance of injury concern with Brown and Caroline banged up, however knowing head coach Eric Musselman’s history on  injuries expect both to play.

On the BYU side, Nevada needs to pay attention to Yoli Childs who was a preseason all-WCC preseason team and could seriously challenge one of many Gonzaga players for the conference player of the year. He also tested the NBA Draft waters and will be one of the more talented players who the Wolf Pack will face all year.
