Nevada Early Season Preview: Offense
The Nevada Wolf Pack will have one of the more explosive offensive attacks in the Mountain West this upcoming season. After an ugly start to begin the 2017 season, the offense took off at the middle part of the season and became one of the conferences better offenses to end the season.
In 2018, the Wolf Pack offense led by quarterback Ty Gangi and offensive coordinator Matt Mumme look to take the offense to the next level as one of the best if not the best units in the conference.
Here is a look at the players on offense who look to make the Nevada Wolf Pack offense a formidable unit in 2018.
QUARTERBACKS

-Early last season, the Wolf Pack quarterback situation was a mess. Ty Gangi did start the first game last season only to be supplanted by Kaymen Cureton. Then it was David Cornwell (remember him Wolf Pack fans) who got the start only to leave the program days after making his debut. Then head coach Jay Norvell went back to Gangi.
Gangi’s second stint as Nevada’s quarterback was slow but he eventually settled into the starting job. Despite a bad game against Boise State, he threw for 18 touchdowns against three interceptions in his final six games of the season.
In 2018, Gangi is the clear starter for the Wolf Pack and one can make the argument that he is one of the best quarterbacks in the Mountain West conference per his numbers last season. Behind Gangi, there is only one start between Cureton, Dahn, Solano and Strong. If Gangi goes down a lot of experience goes with him but with Gangi at the helm, the sky is the limit for the Wolf Pack offense.
RUNNING BACKS

Devonte Lee, Fr
-Kelton Moore led the rushing attack last season with 855 yards and four touchdowns for the Wolf Pack. Moore played well thru the midway point of last season and will be looked on to continue his play to balance out the Wolf Pack offense.
Outside of Moore, there was very little run production last season. Jaxson Kincaide, who missed nine games last season due to injury, only tallied 295 rushing yards last season. Blake Wright only ran for 157 yards last year but did score three touchdowns for Nevada.
Help is on the way for the Wolf Pack as they welcome a pair of talented freshmen running backs in Toa Taua and Devonte Lee. Time will tell if Taua and Lee can contribute to the Wolf Pack rushing attack and in addition, balance the Nevada offense in 2018.
