The Aggies and Bulldogs make their second top 25 of the weekend.

After finding their way into the coaches poll earlier on Sunday morning, the Utah State Aggies and Fresno State Bulldogs used their big victories over New Mexico and Hawaii, respectively, to secure a spot on the Associate Press’s top 25 for Week 10.

Utah State’s 61-19 win against the Lobos pushed the Aggies from #27 to #18, while Fresno State’s 50-20 win over the Warriors pushed them from #29 to #20. San Diego State managed to remain in the Also Receiving Votes crowd even after their 28-24 loss at Nevada, earning six points for the #39 spot.

As in the coaches poll, however, Utah State and Fresno State will be chasing down two AAC teams as they look to climb in the rankings. Houston’s 57-36 win over South Florida vaulted the Cougars to #17, while UCF moved up one spot to #9 on their bye week.

Unlike the coaches poll, though, three-loss Power 5 teams did not get quite as much love. Mississippi State landed one behind behind their fellow Bulldogs at #21 following a 28-13 win over Texas A&M, while the SEC’s Aggies dropped to #25 and the Washington Huskies fell out of the top 25 entirely after their loss to Cal.
