Sweet 16 berth is on the line
Here we go.
The Nevada Wolf Pack is looking to make it to the Sweet 16 for just the second time in team history. The last time they made it that far was when Trent Johnson was the head coach back in 2004. This Nevada team will have its handsful with Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon.
The Bearcats won the AAC and are very much liked by KenPom as its fourth team overall. Cincinatti won its first round NCAA Tournament game over Georgia State and are now the odds on favorite to make it to the Final Four out of this region.
The Wolf Pack will have its hands full but they will need to get their three-point shooting percentage in the 40 percent range if they are going to win this contest. That also does not mean just hanging out on the perimeter and taking those deep shots. This offense needs to have a little bit of a movement to get better looks.
Also, size has been an issue all year for the Wolf Pack so they will need to keep the rebounding edge competitive, and if not in their favor to get second chance points and limit the Bearcasts opportunities for easy buckets.
