March Madness First Look At Bracket: San Diego State

The Aztecs are the #11 seed in the West Region

San Diego State (22-10) Enters Round One vs. Houston (26-7) in Wichita, Kansas on Thursday, March 15.

Tonight it was announced that the San Diego State University Aztecs will be the #11 seed team in the West Division of the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

The Aztecs (22-10) entered into the NCAA Tournament the hard way, by winning the Mountain West Championship after an up and down season under first year head coach Brian Dutcher.

Winning the Mountain West Tourney means the #11 seed Aztecs will face off against the #6 seed Houston Cougars this Thursday, March 15, in Wichita, Kansas.

Many bracketology experts had the Aztecs pegged in the #12 seed, and the bump to #11 may have been the result of San Diego State going 9-0 all the way up to their 2018 Mountain West Championship win.

If the Aztecs defeat Houston on Thursday, they will advance to the Round of 32 to face the winner of the first-round match between #3 seed Michigan and #14 seed Montana.
