He is being praised for his arm strength which was clocked at 66 MPH and the fastest at the combine, but the main issue is his accuracy.
Below is a drill from earlier in the week where Allen is throwing at a non-moving target and no defenders are in his face along side Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield.

It is just one throw but to miss this target so bad is terrible as it is but to see your competitor nail it does not present good optics.
