How much did this performance help Allen?
Wyoming’s Josh Allen had a lot to prove in the Senior Bowl game to be able to show off what he has learned after the week’s worth of practice.
The first half for Allen was not amazing by completing 2 of 5 passes for 14 yards, but he did show off his feet by extending plays and only decided to run after he went through his reads.
With Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield leaving the game at the half to head home to be with his family, that allowed Allen to get more playing time.
Allen got the start in the third quarter for the North team and went on an 11 play, 81-yard drive that ended on a 16-yard score to Tyler Conklin.
On that drive, Allen was 4 for 4 for 52 yards and rushed for nine more.
His next drive as quarterback was just as good completing both passes for 58 total yards and capped with a touchdown 27 yard toss to Durahm Smythe.
For the game, Allen ended up going 9nof 13 for 158 yards with two touchdowns, and he also rushed for 19 yards on five attempts.
