Who will be the Warriors QB in ’18?

The Hawaii Warriors football program will be in the need of a new quarterback as Dru Brown has decided to transfer once he graduates.

Head coach Nick Rolovich has granted Brown a full release, and since he has graduated he will be immediately eligible to play in 2018.

Brown started 22 games for Hawaii and had a 9-14 record. He was an average quarterback in terms of quarterback rating to go along with 35 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.

Brown did look well above average when he had John Ursua in the lineup, but the wideout tore his ACL after just playing six games. Ursua is expected to be back but fellow wide receiver Dylan Collie has decided to transfer.

There is no word if that had any reason as to why Brown is leaving, but it seems unlikely as he is leaving on good terms.

Next in line could be Cole McDonald who was Brown’s backup during this past season.
