The nation’s leading tackler is moving on from San Jose

San Jose State junior linebacker Frank Ginda announced that his is giving up his final year of eligibility and declared for the NFL Draft.

“All the blood, sweat and tears I put into this has been for this goal,” Ginda wrote. “I have decided to forego my senior season and enter the 2018 NFL Draft. I will forever Bleed Blue and Gold!”

Ginda has been a force ever since he arrived on campus and in 2017 he had the most total tackles in the nation with 173 total, solo tackles with 94 and 13.31 tackles per game. There is not more much he can prove by playing on a San Jose State team that is not expected to be all that great next year.

Plus, what else could Ginda do to get better, record 225 total tackles and 20 for a loss? There is no upside in coming back after putting up one of the best seasons in NCAA history.
