After a September cop of coffee in which he hit just .179/.263/.345 back in 2016, you would have been forgiving for thinking that Aaron Judge, then one of the New York Yankees’ top prospects, might have a bit of a learning curve when it came to tapping into his enormous potential.
One year later, he’s broken the curve, smashed the rookie record for home runs in a season and been named a finalist for both Rookie of the Year and American League Most Valuable Player. Oh, yeah, and he was named as MLB The Show 18‘s cover athlete yesterday.

Judge, the 32nd overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft, led the Yankees to a berth in the American League Championship Series by hitting .284/.422/.627 in 155 games for New York this season.
