The Colorado State Rams have had a troubled start to the season. The Rams got off to a good start at 4-1, but they have gone just 1-5 since.

The Rams had hopes for a quick turnaround with the hiring of Niko Medved, but this looks like it will take a little longer. Next up for the Rams, Long Beach State.

Colorado State is led by Jeremiah Paige, Anthony Masinton-Bonner, and Nico Carvacho. Paige is leading the team in scoring with 16.3 ppg. Bonner can light it up from deep, shooting 44% from three. And Carvacho is a top 5 rebounder in the NCAA, grabbing 11.7 rpg.

The Rams have been outworked during the last couple of games. There’s been no effort on the defensive glass and CSU is giving up to many easy shots. In order for the Rams to be successful, they need to communicate and stop being selfish. When the Rams move the ball around, they have performed well this season.

The 49ers are having a bad start to the season. They are 4-9, but three of their wins have come at home. The 49ers are led Deishaun Booker and Temidayo Yussuf. Booker is Long Beach’s leading scorer at 14 ppg, while Yussuf puts in 12.9 ppg and 7.2 rpg.

Long Beach State is a couple plays away from having three more wins. If the Rams aren’t careful, the 49ers will sneak up on them. Look for the Rams to start strong and either fade away or stay strong for the entire game.
