Can anyone slow down the freshman receiver?
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Dante Wright continued to flash his impressive skills in all facets of the game. After going for 150 combined yards and two scores against Colorado, Wright followed up that performance with 179 combined yards and two scores against Western Illinois.
His week one performance led to being named to the week one Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll and he could possibly be named again for week two. Wright has given Mike Bobo another weapon in his offense that will cause matchup nightmares for defensive coordinators.
Discipline Will Cost The Rams Wins This Season
The Rams beat the Leathernecks by 25 points and it could’ve been a lot worse if it weren’t for turnovers and penalties. The Rams let their opponents continue drives and killed their own drives with unnecessary penalties. Two penalties on one play cost them field position and a potential touchdown.
The Rams need to hold onto the ball. They coughed up the ball four times, but luckily they only lost it twice. After both turnovers the Rams defense stepped up, only giving up three points off of turnovers. Better teams will take advantage of short fields and score more points.
