Games scheduled out through 2038
Colorado State and Colorado signed an agreement to play six games in a 10 year span starting in 2029. These games are in addition to the previously schedule matchups in 2023 (Boulder) and 2024 (Fort Collins). This series adds to the list of Power 5 matchups CSU has scheduled over the next few seasons.
The six game series will be split between both campuses:
- Sept. 15, 2029: Fort Collins
- Sept. 14, 2030: Boulder
- Sept. 17, 2033: Boulder
- Sept. 16, 2034: Fort Collins
- Sept. 19, 2037: Boulder
- Sept. 11, 2038: Fort Collins
Colorado leads the all-time series 67-22-2. Colorado State’s last win in the series came in 2014. The last time this matchup was held in Fort Collins, was a 48-34 win by #5 ranked CU in 1996.
Other recent moments include the 1999 tear-gassing of the CSU marching band and the 2002 helmet spike by Bradlee Van Pelt, college football’s most college football player.
The college freshmen born in the past year now has something to look forward to in this rivalry.
