College Basketball Rankings: Little Movement With So Many Postponements

As 2022 kicks off, the newest Associated Press Top 25 has dropped. While college basketball is ravaged across the country with COVID-19 issues, a ton of games have been either postponed or canceled.
The majority of the new poll remains the same and no new teams entered the mix. But, as the weeks go on and games start getting made up, this list should change a ton.
The Mountain West Conference still has just one team — Colorado State. The Rams remain at No. 20 and have not played since December 11 against Mississippi State, likely the reason why they haven’t moved up at all.

Once again, no other MWC teams in the others receiving votes category, either.
The Rams are holding it down for the conference and are one of three remaining unbeaten teams – with Baylor and USC as the other two.
Colorado State, for now, is set to play Air Force on Tuesday. As we all know, anything can change in a minute.
The next closest just might be Wyoming, who sits at 11-2 overall as they wait to kick off conference play. San Diego State has turned things around a bit and moved to 9-3 with a tough road victory over UNLV.
Boise State is at 10-4, Air Force at 8-4, and Fresno State at 10-4 as well. Utah State is at 9-5 after a two-point loss to Air Force on December 29, so there are a ton of questions around the MWC as a whole.
Who will be the next school to enter the Top 25 conversation?
It might be a while, especially if games keep getting canceled or postponed, but somebody will likely make their way into the conversation.
For now, Colorado State is the only one.
