Seeding is in the balance on Saturday in Vegas
We’re down to our final games of conference play, meaning each game from here on out will help shape the Mountain West Tournament bracket later this month.
Boise State heads to Sin City on Saturday to take on the Runnin’ Rebels of UNLV. The Broncos enter the matchup having lost six of their last seven, with the only victory coming against Mountain West bottom-feeder San Jose State.
UNLV has lost two straight, albeit against two of the hottest teams in the league in San Diego State and in-state rival Nevada. The Rebels are aiming for their first winning season in MWC competition in the Marvin Menzies era with a win on Saturday.
More importantly, though, a win and a Colorado State loss at New Mexico (7:00pm PT tip-off on ESPNU) would guarantee a top five seed a first-round bye in the Mountain West Tournament.
