Boise State will participate in the 2018 Cayman Islands Classic, according to an announcement Tuesday morning.
The tournament, which is sponsored by the Mountain West and thus includes a Mountain West each season, featured Wyoming in its inaugural event last November. Wyoming advanced to the championship game before losing to No. 12 Cincinnati.
Joining Boise State in the field will be Clemson, Creighton, Georgia, St. Bonaventure, Akron, Georgia State, and Illinois State. The eight teams were a combined 169-98 last season, with four of the teams reaching the NCAA Tournament.
The event will take place in late November at John Gray Gymnasium in the Cayman Islands.
Boise State ranked fifth in Mountain West Wire’s way-too-early 2018-19 preview.
