Broncos get it starting QB back.

Boise State has learned some good news for its game against Colorado State, and that is they are getting back starting quarterback Hank Bachmeier back in the lineup.

The sophomore quarterback missed the prior two games for an undisclosed reason.

This is from B.J. Rains of the Idaho Press-Tribune regarding the 14 players out due to COVID-19 whether tested positive or contact tracing. Nine of those 14 tested positive.

Among the players not suited up today are quarterback Chase Cord, who has been on the active list but not played this season, wide receivers Octavius Evans and Shea Whiting, their top-three nose tackles Keeghan Freeeborn, Herbert Gums and Scale Igiehon, cornerback Tyric LeBeauf, linebacker Brock Miller, safeties Roman Kafentzis and Evan Taylor and punter Joel Valazquez.

The position hurt the most in this game is the defensive line which Boise State has just enough players to actually play this game.

Getting Bachmeier back will help but being that thin on the defensive line could be an issue all night for the Broncos to stop the run and get to the quarterback.
