Becky Hammon Is Staying Put
Doesn’t look like Colorado State will be making history with it’s next men’s basketball coach.
Multiple outlets are reporting that former Colorado State women’s basketball player Becky Hammon, and greatest player in program history, will not be the next head coach of the men’s team.

Ever since former head coach Larry Eustachy was suspended and is subsequent resignation, rumors swirled that Hammon would leave the NBA sidelines, take a pay cut, and become the Rams next men’s coach. Turns out that those were just rumors and Hammon will continue as an assistant coach for San Antonio Spurs.

Hammon is the first full time female assistant coach in the NBA and odds are that she will become a head coach at some point down the line or possibly a GM. She has already been the head coach for the Spurs NBA Summer League team where she coached the Spurs to the Las Vegas Summer League title in 2015.
So, Colorado State will continue it’s search for it’s next basketball coach.
