Utah State football rebounded from a slow start — plus a bad injury to quarterback Logan Bonner — which saw losses to Weber State and to Alabama.

The Aggies raged back and become bowl eligible to finish with a 6-6 record and very competitive in conference play.

Their bowl game is a reward against the Memphis Tigers out of the AAC and play in the First Responders Bowl, per Brett McMurphy of the Action Network.

Utah State will be playing in its eighth bowl game as a member of the Mountain West and only missed out in 2016 and 2020.

The Tigers ended their season with its second consecutive 6-6 record under head coach Ryan Silverfield who is in his third year of the program. The best win for Memphis this year came against North Texas who finished the year 7-6, and the Mean Green will actually be playing San Jose State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

The bowl game is on Monday, Dec. 26 on an ESPN network and the time is still to be determined. The site for the game is at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
