Spuddy Buddy is back.
French fry baths and Spuddy Buddy should once again be the order of the day at Boise’s Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, which will feature the San Jose State Spartans and the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Tuesday, December 20. The details of the matchup were first reported by Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.
San Jose State is bowling for the second time in three years, though this will mark the team’s first appearance in the Potato Bowl. The Spartans finished the regular season with a 7-4 record, notching wins over Wyoming and EMU’s rival Western Michigan. The Eagles, meanwhile, will continue their relative renaissance under head coach Chris Creighton, who guided the team to a 8-4 finish, the program’s first season with at least that many wins since 1987, and defeated both WMU and Central Michigan to claim in-state bragging rights.
The Potato Bowl will be broadcast on ESPN, kicking off at 1:30 PM Mountain/12:30 PM Pacific.
