Will Carson Strong Play In The Quick Lane Bowl Or Rest And Prepare For The NFL Draft?

The Nevada Wolf Pack will go bowling for the fourth straight year as they will face Western Michigan in the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit.

The big story is not another trip to a bowl but the status of Nevada quarterback Carson Strong . Strong, who has been dealing with a knee issue all season following off-season arthroscopic surgery, is weighing his options on whether or not he will play in the bowl game. Keep in mind, Strong is one of the top draft-eligible quarterbacks heading into the 2022 NFL Draft.

Nevada head coach (for the time being, maybe) Jay Norvell in this clip talked about Strong in regard to if he will play in the bowl game or not.

Per the clip, it looks like a decision will be made sometime this week on whether or not Carson Strong plays in the bowl game in Detroit. No matter what happens, keep in mind it is Strong’s decision as to if he will play or rest and prepare for the NFL draft process. Strong has done his best and has made Nevada one of the more explosive offenses in the Mountain West the past few years.

As for now, we will wait and see if Carson Strong will suit up one more time for the Wolf Pack in Detroit on December 27th.
