Super Bowl means a lot of prop bets

Time to get silly and put some actual (or hypothetical) money on Super Bowl LII prop bets. To make things a bit interesting there are a few Mountain West players that could help you win Super Bowl squares or some money on the prop bets.

There are some silly ones like how long the national anthem will go, the color of P!nk’s hair, what Justin Timberlake’s first song or setlist will be, the coin toss and even what color will the Gatorade bath of the winning coach get doused in.

The best chance comes with former Boise State running back Jay Ajayi who is the main running back with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Here is a list of Ajayi’s odds for the big game.

12/1 odds on him scoring the first touchdown.

Jay Ajayi total rushing yards

Over 63.5 (-120)
Under 63.5 (-110)

Jay Ajayi total rushing attempts

Over 14.5 (-130)
Under 14.5 (Even)

Jay Ajayi total receptions

Over 1.5 (-210)
Under 1.5 (+170)

Jay Ajayi total receiving yards

Over 19.5 (-115)
Under 19.5 (-115)

Ajayi to win the MVP is +1,800

For those unaware of how +/- work on betting here is an explanation.

For example, lets use Ajayi’s total receptions yards. Taking the under is +170 which means if you bet $100 you would win $270 total. What you would win on taking the over at -210 means one would have to place $210 to win $100 for a total of $310.

If one were to take Ajayi for the MVP odds with $100 the payout would be $1,900.

If one were to put money on Ajayi the best bets would be to take Ajayi on the over for first rushingattempts and then yards. In his two playoff games he has averaged 16.5 attempts and 63.5 yards per playoff game.
