The Bulldogs defense loses another star.

The Fresno State Bulldogs defense was unquestionably one of the best in all of college football this fall, but not along after linebacker Jeffrey Allison announced his intent to join the 2019 NFL Draft, one of his defensive mates did the same.

Mike Bell was another of the defenders who rose to prominence in Fresno State’s historic 2017 campaign, collecting 77 tackles, three tackles for loss, three passes defended and an interception as a sophomore. He earned second-team all-Mountain West honors from the conference’s media this fall, as well, racking up 86 tackles to go along with 3.5 TFLs, eight passes defended and three interceptions.

In its Las Vegas Bowl writeup, NFL Draft Wire proclaimed Bell a “ballhawking type” asset for teams at the next level. He’d already caught the eyes of other draft prognosticators, as well, making him an athlete well worth watching among every NFL fanbase:
