With Tuesday’s win, UNLV moved to a 2-6 record in conference play. EJ Harkless led the team in points with 28 points. Keshon Gilbert, Jordan McCabe, and Keyshawn Hall were the other players who scored double digits.
Nevada enters Saturday’s game with a 6-2 Mountain West record. The Wolf Pack are third in the Mountain West standings. Nevada survived a high-scoring game against New Mexico on Monday. Nevada scraped by with a 97-94 win.
The Wolf Pack are looking to remain near the top of the conference. If Nevada can pull off the road win, it would help the team’s standing in the conference.
Prediction
Nevada is a more talented team than UNLV and it will help the Wolf Pack win on Saturday night. On Monday, Nevada had three players score 20 or more points against New Mexico. Those three players were Will Baker, Jarod Lucas, and Kenan Blackshear.
Baker, Lucas, and Blackshear will be a strong part of Nevada’s scoring component against the Rebels. UNLV will try to limit the rest of Nevada’s scoring output to keep the game close.
