Boise State secured an 80-59 win over Colorado State at ExtraMile Arena in Boise, Idaho on Saturday night.
The win started a two-game winning streak for the Broncos. With Saturday’s win, Boise State has won seven of its last eight games. In the first half, Boise State led by as many as 20 points over the Rams. At halftime, Boise State held a 42-29 advantage.
The Rams attempted a comeback in the second half as the deficit was trimmed down to six points with 14:57 left in the game. The Broncos pulled away and kept a safe distance from Colorado State for the rest of the game.
For the final 12 minutes and 40 seconds, Boise State held a double-digit lead over Colorado State. In the final nine minutes of the game, Boise State went on an 18-10 run to close out the win.
Tyson Degenhart led Boise State in scoring with 22 points. Chibuzo Agbo and Naje Smith combined for 33 points. Boise State guard Max Rice added 14 points to the winning effort.
The Broncos moved to a 17-5 record and 7-2 in Mountain West play. Boise State is 10-1 at home on the season.
In the next outing, the Broncos will hit the road against the Air Force Falcons on Tuesday at 7 p.m. MT.
