The Falcons land a big-time opponent.
Fresh off another nine-win regular season, the Air Force Falcons learned on Saturday that they will face the Baylor Bears in this year’s Armed Forces Bowl on Thursday, December 22, in news first reported by Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.
The Falcons did just about everything short of winning the Mountain West in 2022, reclaiming the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy while holding on to the Ram-Falcon Trophy and pummeling in-state rival Colorado during non-conference play back in September. Baylor, meanwhile, followed up on its appearance in last year’s Big 12 title game with a 6-6 campaign, which was good enough to secure the program’s second straight bowl appearance under head coach Dave Aranda.
The Armed Forces Bowl marks Air Force’s sixth trip to the game and its first since 2015. It will be broadcast on ESPN, kicking off at 5:30 PM Mountain/4:30 PM Pacific.
