SDSU comes back to defeat BYU 82-75

At the end of the season no one will care what wins were ugly and which wins were pretty. All that will matter is that the team won.

San Diego State looked very sloppy against BYU on Friday night. Rotations looked slow, and they couldn’t seem to score anywhere but the free throw line for most of the game.

BYU was shooting 50% from the field for much of the night. They had 10 point leads on two separate occasions, once in each half. But turnover issues and foul trouble let the Aztecs hang around and claw their way back into the game.

When it mattered most at the end of the game, the Aztecs were finally able to hit some clutch shots and get a couple important stops.

Jaedon Ledee had a breakout performance with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Darrion Trammell struggled for much of the game but finished with 21 points and 4 assists. Nathan Mensah had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

BYU looked much better than they did against Idaho St. Spencer Johnson led the way with 17 points on 7-11 shooting. Fousseyni Tralee was a problem all game, finishing with 14 points and his only miss coming when Mensah chased him down for a block towards the end of the game.

San Diego State goes on the road for the first time this season to face Stanford on November 15th. KenPom has the Aztecs favored 71-68.
