What are the oddsmakers saying about these match ups?
Late in the week we will look at odds and recent lines and make our best picks and bets. Odds courtesy of Vegas Insider and inputted at time of writing.
The teams seemed to have settled down. However, there still remains a slight tinge of chaos. We went 4-0 last week and are 38-34 on the year. Our first perfect week of the season. Can we do it again?
Air Force @ Army (+7, O/U 40)
Army and Air Force are once again playing in Texas. The Falcons can secure the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy with a win. Army wins and it comes down to the Army-Navy game. The under is usually a safe pick in an armed services matchup. It has a historical 75% hit rate, but hey anything can happen.
Pick: Under

New Mexico @ Utah State (-15 O/U 42.5)
The Lobos are not good. Utah State has taken a step back from last season. The Aggies got a two game winning streak going, but faltered two weeks agao against Wyoming. They will most likely win, but New Mexico won’t make it easy. Rocky Long’s defenses always show up.
Pick: New Mexico +15
BYU @ Boise State (-8, O/U 54.5)
My first though here is how is this not at double digits. Outside of a 19-14 win over Air Force, the Broncos have won three games out of four by 20+ points. And BYU isn’t the best team either. They’re on a four game losing streak. The Broncos take another step towards a comeback.
Pick: Boise State -8

UNLV @ San Diego State (-6.5 O/U 47)
Doug Brumfield is back in the saddle this week for the Rebels, so this one should be interesting. The Aztecs look to have a decent, for them, quarterback in Jalen Mayden. Now they just need the defense to step back up. This one should be crazy, so the over feels safe.
Pick: Over
Colorado State @ San JOSE State (-24 O/U 45)
Unless something crazy happens, the Rams aren’t going to win here. But they could be able to keep up with the Spartans. Nevada only lost by seven and had a two touchdown lead at one point. CSU still has a long way to recover the program, but crazier things have happened. Still, the over feels safe here.
Pick: Over

Hawai’i @ Fresno State (-27.5 O/U 63.5)
Jake Haener returned for the Bulldogs and threw for almost 400 yards against the Aztecs. Against Hawai’i he might throw for 500. The Rainbow Warriors are in rebuild mode and it could take a minute before they’re back. In the mean time, Fresno State has a chance to play spoiler for the rest of the year.
Pick: Fresno State -27.5
