The Mountain West still doesn’t know what it wants to be as a conference. We went 3-3 last week and are 27-30 on the year. We did a little better last week. Now lets see if we can continue to get better.
Utah State @ Colorado State (+11, O/U 46)
Colorado State finally got off the pot with a 17-14 win over Nevada last week. Utah State woke up and beat Air Force 34-27 last week. Utah State has shown some offense and Colorado State hasn’t. But the under has hit 9 out 11 times for these two schools this season. Probably won’t change this week.
Pick: Under

New Mexico @ New Mexico State (+6.5, O/U 37.5)
The Rio Grande Rivalry opens its next chapter. The Lobos have looked like a completely different team this year. They’re still missing that offensive piece and may find it this week with a new offensive coordinator. The Aggies have had virtually no offense outside of a one off against Hawaii. The fighting Rocky Long’s take it this week.
Pick: New Mexico -6.5
AIR Force @ UNLV (+10, O/U 50)
This was originally going to be Air Force to cover, but they’ve failed to do so in their last two games. UNLV laid an egg last week against San Jose State. So what pick to make? Let’s go with the under. It sounds crazy with both teams averaging 64.5 points per game combined. But sometimes you just have to take a risk.

San Jose State @ Fresno State (+8.5, O/U 47.5)
Jake Haener is expected to miss another week. The Bulldogs got smoked in the second half against Boise State. The Spartans meanwhile grabbed a hold of first place in the West with a blowout win over UNLV. Now they look to extend their lead and cover against a depleted Bulldog squad.
Pick: San Jose State -8.5
Nevada @ Hawai’i (+6.5 O/U 49)
Another crazy pick, why not? Two teams who haven’t done a lot hitting the over, lets have fun with it. Bad college football is still entertaining to watch and we might get some fun football to watch late night. The Hawai’i test is upon us after almost a month and should provide a great way to end the night.
Pick: Over
