No linear TV for UNLV vs. Notre Dame
UNLV travels to South Bend, Indiana, to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Oct. 22 at 2:30 p.m. ET. Notre Dame always plays its home games on NBC, well, they used to.
It was announced that the game against the Rebels will be regulated to NBC’s streaming service Peacock. This is the second year in a row that Notre Dame has shifted a game from NBC to Peacock. Last year, it was the Toledo game which was much closer than expected in a 32-29 win for the Golden Domers. So, perhaps some hope for a less-watched game for the Rebels to pull off the upset.
We all know the song and dance that NBC is doing here and that is to get people to sign up for Peacock. This game will not be on the free service but on its premium tier which costs $4.99 per month. Before you all ask, no there is no free trial. Peacock got rid of that option in 2021, so no burn and churn for this game.
If UNLV fans really want to watch their team play Notre Dame — if we are being honest it will likely be a blowout — it will cost you a few bucks.
There are other good reasons to subscribe if this game does get out of hand.
If you're a Rebels fan wondering whether signing up for Peacock is worthwhile, just remember that you get superfan episodes of The Office, too. https://t.co/3EMc9hVIdr
