Was San Jose State’s 2020 a fluke? 2021 saw the team go from conference champion to not making a bowl game in one year. For Spartans fans, the hope is that at worst it is a bowl game after tasting the mountain top.
Bill Connelly’s first edition of SP+ recently came out with its first edition of where teams are ranked heading into the 2022 season. Now we will use those numbers to predict the record of each Mountain West school, and then determine who is expected to be the very early champion.
San Jose State’s SP+ starts out as 96th and their projected record as 7-5.
