Aggie aggies win their first ever football title in the MW.
Jeremy and Matt are back to recap the unexpected result of the 2021 Mountain West football title game which saw Utah State win 46-13 over San Diego State. There is a lot that went on in that game including San Diego State having 20 players — majority reserves — out due to COVID-19 and/or contact tracing. The Aggies played arguably their best game and the Aztecs did not which led to the blowout result.
Everything basically went right for Utah State and their gameplan and specifically on offense going downfield in the passing game. The Aztecs uncharacteristically had special teams issues.
