Late in the week we will look at odds and recent lines and make our best picks and bets. Odds courtesy of Vegas Insider.
In week 11 of the college football season, the Mountain West season rolled on. Wyoming back door covered against Boise State. UNLV got their second win in a row. And Air Force rolled ove Colorado State.
Last week we went 2-4 and we are 35-35 overall for the season. Back to .500 and we’re all over the place this season.
Air Force @ Nevada (-1.5, O/U 52.5)
Two complete opposite offensive philosphies clash here. We have the air raid offense and the triple option ground attack. The over/under is probably correct here. You’ll have Nevada get scores through the air and Air Force grind it out trying to tire the Wolf Pack defense. I still like Nevada to win this though.
Pick: Nevada -1.5

#19 San Diego State @ UNLV (+11.5, O/U 41)
Look, we all know San Diego State will win this game. If UNLV somehow pulls off the upset, go ahead and just give Marcus Arroyo an extension as soon as the game is over. UNLV has shown some fight this season and against good teams. They could give the Aztecs a real scare here if they overlook them.
Pick: Over
Wyoming @ UTAH State (-5.5, O/U 53)
An impressive offense against an impressive defense. I’m going to take the offense in this case. Utah State has made an impressive turn around this year. Wyoming’s offense has not gotten started, but their defense has kept them around. The Aggies should win this rivalry game and cover.
Pick: Utah State -5.5

New MExico @ Boise State (-27.5, O/U 48)
Boise State is averaging 26.8 points over their last five games, while New Mexico is only averaging 10.4. New Mexico has been up and down this year. Boise State has been too, but they looked to finally have started turning their corner and their offense is hitting on all cylinders.
Pick: Over
Colorado State @ Hawai’i (+2, O/U 54)
Man, I want to know what Vegas is thinking here. They usually know more than normal fans, but this still seems like a weird line and almost should be a pick ’em. Colorado State has lost four in a row while Hawai’i has lost three in a row. Maybe CSU’s offense can get rolling, but I don’t trust either team to do anything at this point.
Pick: Under
